Folkstone were born at the end of 2004 with a project that combines hard rock to instruments that tradition usually wants as an acoustical habit. Breaking down every pattern, the protagonists of the scene become bag-pipes, harp, bouzouki, flutes and medieval musical instruments, creating the fascinating atmosphere that has always distinguished the band and the feeling with the public. Quickly, thanks to an intense live activity, both in Italy and Europe (with Eluveitie, Arkona, Corvus Corax, Finntroll, Subway to Sally,...) to promote the first two albums "Folkstone" (2008) and "Damnati ad Metalla (2010), they become a top name in the Folk Metal panorama. Following acoustic album "Sgangogatt" (2011) and the fourth album "Il Confine" (2012) confirm and strengthen this status. The magic and power of their shows are captured in their first live Dvd "Restano i Frammenti" (2012), while for the last work "Oltre...l'Abisso" (end of 2014) they are helped by the precious collaboration of two musicians such as Chris Dennis (ex Modena City Ramblers, Nomadi...) to the violin and Fidel Fogaroli (ex Verdena) at piano, witnessing the rise and popolarity of the band. Folk, metal, rock and pure energy mix themselves wth lyrics, rigorously in Italian, introspective and autobiographical, which turn a critical look at today's society.
