Echo-Jazz-winner In 2005, Benny Greb released his album "Grebfruit 1", a real tremor in the drummer scene. Now, with the album "Grebfruit 2" - coined by voice and drums - follows a much more mature succession. So listening to the album is a ride through thick drum patterns, tuning braids, opernaries, freak sounds, pumping basses and powerful choirs. "Grebfruit 2" is a production you can not expect from a drummer. There are completely independent sound worlds, which themselves can integrate three cover songs. All songs have character and edge and are a request for multiple listening. The artwork of the album seems to be an example of this: Benny Greb is able to sing out of many throats and yet the sound universe originates only one head.
