Fado is luck, luck is destiny and the destiny is Fado. This was the starting point for Maja Milinkovic, Bosnian fado singer to reconsider changing the course of her life due to the passion she felt when hearing fado for the first time in Amalia’s voice, with a career longer than 10 years with 3 original records released and several awards won in her homeland as singer and composer. The name Am?lia – the great inspiration for Maja – sounds like “AMAJLIJA”, wich means amulet in Slavic and it was impossible not to resemble her destiny from this luck amulet. After her first fado record, «Fado Meu” (2013), and the release of the single «Znam za rijeku» (2015) – a Slavic version of the Portuguese song «Sei de um Rio» – , Maja releases now the album «Fado ? Sorte», where you can listen her interpretation of traditional fado along with new songs, some of them authored by Maja.
