Mandoline magic - Julien Martineau plays works by Piazzolla, Bart?k, Rota et al. Toulouse-based mandolinist Julien Martineau is one of the few representatives of his subject with an international concert career. Already with Thomas Hampson, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Nathalie Dessay on the stage. For his album titled "Paradis Latin", Martineau chose favorite pieces with a focus on composers from southern Europe and South America: Romanian folks of B?la Bart?k, Histoire du Tango of Astor Piazzolla, Mazurka, Tarantella, Bolero and Rapsodia Napoletana of Raffaele Calace and A suite with themes from "The Godfather" by Nino Rota. Martineau is accompanied by Eric Franceries (guitar) and Yann Dubost (double bass)
