TROUBLE, LE - Making Matters Worse (Sealed) (CD)

It seems to be one of the hottest corners for music in these days - the French-Canadian city of Montreal throws a new band after another in front of our feet. According to Foreign Diplomats and The Franklin Electric (the hip Montreal label Indica Records) now also the 5-piece Indie rock band Le Trouble. Shortly after getting to know about the writing of Jingles for strawberry and chocolate shower gel in 2012, guitarist and songwriter Maxime Veilleux from Qu?bec City and the karistic Australian singer Michael Mooney Le Trouble founded. What happened in the next 12 months is like the dream of many musicians: with their fresh and yet concise sound, the band quickly received attention from the USA, their debut EP "Reality Strikes" was on the well-known US online magazine Spin and later they have a slot at the most important festival in Montreal, "Osheaga" - all in the span of a year! After a brief, but rather frightening, encounter with the American pop band, Veilleux and Mooney, together with the guitarist Bao-Khanh Nguyen, the bassist Garrett Doughtery and the drummer Jesse Gnaedinger, The Montrealer record label Indica Records found well-meaning allies to release their debut album "Making Matters Worse" in Canada. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland the album is released via the Hamburg label Dock 7 Records. Their debut sounds as if all five band members would play against each other with their individual styles in a clearly perceptible dynamism, and as a whole they would appear - pure and straightforward indie rock with honest lyrics and big hooks from which you could claim a certain calculation True beings are no more than liberating "Fuck You's", who had to leave for a long time.
