Black Ivory from Harlem were the pride of New York and the answer to Philly's The Delfonics, but with more teen appeal. Leading singer of the trio was Leroy Burgess, the nephew of Philly Soul legend Tom Bell. With the help of the leading hand of their manager and the driving force at Today Records, legendary New York producer Patrick Adams, the band landed various Charthits and Sweet Soul classics like "You and I", "Time is Love" and " Do not Turn Around "with which they also performed at Soul Train. As the decade progressed, they also landed disco hits like "Mainline" and "Walking Downtown" on Buddha Records. The 2CD contains 35 classics, while the 2LP has a selection of 17 songs.
