Cradle of Filth will unleash their 12th studio album, Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay, this year! The new record is set for a Sept. 22 release via Nuclear Blast. Cradle have hardly gone three years without an album release since unveiling their debut, The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, in 1994. The British extreme metal band shows no signs of slowing down, already announcing their follow-up to 2015’s Hammer of the Witches. “The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that,” explains vocalist Dani Filth. “’Cryptoriana’ implies the Victorian’s infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle ‘The Seductiveness Of Decay’ further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation.”
