After three EPs, the French producer Jeremie Mondon's first album "Midnight Funk" was released in spring 2000 under the project name Demon. With atmospheric, supple and playful dance numbers, it became part of a series of electronic releases, which at the time were given the "French Touch" coat. From Daft Punk ("Homework"), over Air ("Moon Safari") to Etienne de Cr?cy ("Super Discount") some things were thrown into the same pot, which had only limited similarities apart from the origin and the massive use of filters. But this did not detract from the extraordinary quality, which then ran like a thread through the releases.
