Following on from the IG Culture meets 22a remix EP released earlier this year, the second remix 12” ahead of Mamao’s album release, hosts three producers united not only by a foundational appreciation for the work of Ivan Conti and Azymuth, but also in the belief that there’s much more to dance music than straight four to the floor. These are two of Germany’s most consistently on-fire producers: Money Sex Records buddies Max Graef and Glenn Astro, along with the ascendant Mancunian producer / percussionist Contours. With Mamao’s famously jovial character shining through each remix, the EP spans hip-hop, deep house, jazz-funk and afro-Brazilian rhythms, giving the listener a taste of what’s to come from Mamao’s much anticipated new album in 2018.
