Jacques Stotzem is one of the most versatile finger style guitarists of the current guitar scene. Born in Verviers in 1959, the Belgian guitarist has now recorded 14 CDs and is one of the absolute favourites for many fans of acoustic guitar music. As a welcome guest at all major festivals, Jacques Stotzem has won a remarkable circle of fans with his perfectly performed fingerstyle guitar playing, his sensitive feeling for melody and his fine temperament. His concert tours take him through Europe, America and Asia. Since 2006, the famous American guitar company "Martin Guitar" has been producing an "OMC Jacques Stotzem Custom Signature" model, a dream for every guitarist, an honour for Jacques. His CD "Catch the Spirit" with highly remarkable arrangements of rock classics made it into the Belgian charts in 2009 and stayed on the charts for 41 weeks, an event in the acoustic guitar scene! Over the years, Stotzem has developed an unmistakably unique sound on the acoustic guitar and convinces with his typical, atmospheric ballads as well as with his violently rocking adaptations of Hendrix or Gallagher pieces.
