Having made a name for himself in Wales as a founder member of pop band Yr Ods, Osian Howells begun releasing his own material on Blinc Records under the name OSHH. The music graduate from Star, Anglesey, has taken a new direction with his style of dark pop, and has released a string of singles on the label – All Mistakes, Lleisiau’n Galw and Dal i Frwydro – and another of his songs, Rhywbeth Gwell featuring on the Welsh language compilation O’r Nyth. He has recently been completing work on his eponymous debut album, recorded in the label’s own recording studio, Ironworks Studio in Llanllyfni, North Wales. His live performances include festivals such as the Huw Stephens-curated S?n Festival in Cardiff, and G?yl Gardd Goll on Angelsey, with a live band consisting of Gwion Llewelyn (Villagers, Race Horses), Griff Lynch (Yr Ods), brother Guto Howells (Yr Eira) and Ioan Llewelyn. OSHH will be releasing his debut album on Blinc during 2017.
