Incl. 1 bonus track. This amazing concert presents the great Oscar Peterson performing in his native country, Canada (he was born in Montreal, Quebec, on August 15, 1925). A trio composed of piano, guitar and bass (as opposed to the common formation of piano, bass and drums) has always been a rarity. However, from the 1930s to the 1960s, there were splendid exponents of this unusual instrumental combo in jazz music. One of the most important of these trios was that of Nat King Cole (when he mostly played the piano and only rarely sang), with Oscar Moore on guitar and Johnny Miller on bass.
