... and (luckily!) it comes as expected: Rude Pride from Madrid continue the path taken on their debut album "Be True To Yourself" - and with "Take It As It Comes" they are even more relaxed. Twelve highly melodic and varied songs - which were sung in English again - played loosely and smoothly from the hip and with the slightly hoarse vocals as an unmistakable trademark: Where Rude Pride is written on it, Rude Pride is in it. The committed and class-conscious lyrics are very pleasant without embarrassing platitudes, musically there is classical Oi! Punk, which is charmingly accompanied by a keyboard. Is that modern skinhead sound? Rude Pride is not only that - Rude Pride put together their own construction kit, which sets the band apart from other members of the genre. A light Rocksteady touch accompanies the naturally dominant Oi! Sound, limited genre conventions are shaken up by this and also by the already mentioned, slightly hoarse vocals. Perkele or Red London, however, are welcome reminiscences.
