After a 17 years long career and after 6 years being away, Steeple Remove comes back early with brand new LP "Position Normal", a sound movie which seems like THX 1138 where Georges Lucas would have swapped his 35mm camera for a Moog. "Position normal" is the 4th album of the band from Rouen, which already came out a disc at Sordide Sentimental (mythic french label with early acts from Throbbing Gristle or Joy Division) at the end of the 20th century, and two others, more krautrock, at Third Side in the 2000s. This one draws its inspiration in a puzzling post-punk and it is not a coincidence if three of the ninth songs recorded for the album can be heard into the first season of "Les Revenants", the french supernatural series which won an International Emmy for Best Drama Series in 2013. Sounding like : Psychic TV, Spacemen 3, The Oscillation, The Soft Moon, Suuns. « At the mythical juncture of sinewy slapbacked Rock and Roll and the agitation of synth soaked post punk, it's the best they have ever sounded. » (David Best, Fujiya & Miyagi) « Steeple Remove? It sounds like german rock'n roll... but it's even better! » (Jean-Herv? Peron, Faust) "POSITION NORMAL" IS THE FIRST RELEASE OF GONZAI RECORDS. No punchlines, no fame, no benefits : we are Gonza? Records.
