In 2003 Conor Oberst and Nate Krenkel founded the label Team Love. That's what current acts like Tilly And The Wall, Jenny Lewis or Gruff Rhys have signed. They also take care of the first release of unknown archival treasures such as the album "Billy Stoner", whose songs are from the seventies. The project is related to Jemima James's double album "At Longview Farm/When You Get Old", released in the winter of 2016/17. In the 70s James had been working in a studio called Longview Farm, where he got to know celebrities like John Belushi, Arlo Guthrie, Pat Metheny, the Rolling Stones and Bill Graham - and at the same time recorded a collection of brilliant folk songs (and let them get dusty on the shelf). Billy Stoner also helped her with the guitar. Stoner, an outlaw from Tennessee, had already gained experience in various bands before recording a solo album at Longview Farm. Unfortunately, he went to jail for drug possession when the mastering was completed. This was the end of Stoner's career before she really got started. Only after James' new start and the contact to Team Love came into this movement again. This explains why Stoner's first release is about 40 years old.
