Re-release of this hedonistic French House classic from 2002. Behind the Supermen Lovers is not a band, but a house project by Guillaume Atlan, a Parisian composer and producer. Prior to founding it in 2000, Atlan studied classical music and was a keyboard player in several acid jazz bands. As a super-man-loving man, he landed a gigantic success in clubs and many European charts with the funky dance track "Starlight" at the start of his career as house champion in 2001! The single earned him a contract with BMG. In 2002 he released his quite French-sounding album debut "The Player", which welded disco, house, funk and electronics in an extraordinarily danceable way into a glittering and captivating whole. With "Family Business","Hard Stuff","Diamonds For Her" and "Dance With You" the album contained pieces that still belong to the best of the best, which were ever released in the French House category.
