If one reads reviews of Frances Wave concerts, one comes across comparisons ranging from the Queens of the Stone Age, Kasabian to the Beatles. We think that the band found their own sound first and foremost. This one is bluesy, stoney, garaggian, psychedelic and goes well into the ear. In the end it's rock, whatever you like to call it. The band has already been booked in Norway for the renowned by: Larm & Trondheim calling festivals. They were also nominated for the Urort-Award, which has already been won by Kvelertak in the past. They won the "forbildeprisen"award (the rolemodel-award) at the award ceremony after only one single (named "Black Star", which can also be heard on the debut). This first single was also included in the hot rotation of the Norwegian radio station P3 radio. In addition, Frances Wave were declared one of the most exciting new Scandinavian bands by the NME.
