The band's brand new studio album around Ed Pettersen! Three years after the Blue Rose-Debut Bumping Into Nothing gives us mastermind Ed Pettersen after the surprising reactivation of his old band, The High Line Riders, the no less splendidly accomplished successor: Walking Home offers a noble, stylistically absolutely timeless mix of handmade rock' n' roll, dynamic country rock and spirited folk n roots songs - a tasty, always ear-friendly mix that makes the hearts of 70s retro fans and hip Americana time spirits beat faster! Ed Pettersen:"Artist, Writer, Producer" is on his homepage. Three sober buzzwords that only do justice to the many different activities of the meanwhile mid-fifties. The High Line Riders are just one of many projects in a long career - but they are currently his most important project, the one he enjoys most, where he puts all his heart and soul into. This is noticeable on Walking Home in every note, in every riff! Although walking home formally, it's a Nashville affair that sounds like Manhattan and Brooklyn clubs for a long time, and more often than not revives the pioneering spirit of West Coast country rock. Ed Pettersen has recorded and produced the 12 self-written songs in his chosen hometown with well-known local top musicians and the many illustrious guest musicians live or work here. Currently the High Line Riders play as quintet with Pettersen (Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals), Gary Goodlow (Guitars), Atom Schmitt (Pedal Steel, Lap Steel), Kevin Hornback (Bass) and Mike Bailey (Drums). On a few songs we hear a little bit of older edition of Riders with the well-known Pete Abbott on drums and the even more famous bass player David Hungate, whose traces can be traced back to Toto, but who has long since found shelter in the Americana community. It is also due to the high quality of all these details that' Walking Home' has become so strong
