The project of the year from Jamaica is back. With four new songs. "Inna de Yard, that's reggae next door. What you can hear in Kingston is what you hear over the yard, when the genre's most influential musicians are practically the neighbours. The idea for this conceptual series of eight albums to date was born around the turn of the millennium and was revived in 2017 on the occasion of an exhibition on Jamaica in the Paris Philharmonic. The idea behind this is to present the roots of Reggae. Microphones were installed on the veranda or in the garden to capture everything directly at the source. "Inna De Yard is not a solid formation. In addition to the two reggae icons Ken Boothe and Cedric Myton from The Congos, the veteran Lloyd Parks from The Viceroys and the up-and-coming talents Derajah, Var, Kiddus I, Steve Newland, Bo Pee, Kush and Winston McAnuff took part in the recordings for "The Soul Of Jamaica" in the hills of Kingston. The Rastafari community recorded 13 open-air acoustic, warm-hearted and unpretentious reggae songs, coupled with influences from soul, gospel, funk and ska. The whole thing with a sympathetic-organic character and spiritual note.
