In 1971, the then only 27-year-old guitarist gave the Villingen label one of his most amazing recordings. First of all, there are the familiar sitar rock sounds familiar from Kriegel's activities at Dave Pike: Zoom opens the album with an electrified one. Completely relaxed blues rock, on the other hand, is thrilling in So Long For Now. The sophisticated Rondo More About D and Instant Judgement are exciting showcases of how lyrical and swinging passages can be seamlessly combined with free sound cascades. And then, completely unexpectedly Suspicious Child, Growing Up: a folk bluesy, summery, carefree slide-in, which is only surpassed by the dreamy ballad Ach Kina in casualness. In the finale Kriegel and his colleagues bundle the whole spectrum once again: in a fantastic, almost dance-like interplay of glowing keys, a cello climbing in the highest register, complex percussion metrics and a guitar that beats caprioles that are as virtuosic as they are soulful.
