If you have to bite your way through as a blues rocker from Texas and want to make a name for yourself internationally, you need not only a lot of talent but also a good measure of energy and stamina. After all, the state has produced legendary genre greats such as Johnny Winter, ZZ Tops Billy Gibbons and the unforgettable Stevie Ray Vaughan in the hot south of the USA. Lance Lopez can tell you a thing or two about it. The 40-year-old guitarist, singer and songwriter sees himself in the tradition of the aforementioned and, like them, he is successfully following his path from Texas. Exactly ten years ago, Lopez recorded his first own record, and he has been a successful professional musician for a long time. Here in Europe he recently made a name for himself as a member of the Supersonic Blues Machine, whose albums "Californisoul" (2017) and "West of Flushing, South of Frisco" (2016) were released by the Mascot Label Group. There, Lance Lopez has now also docked as a solo artist and with his new album "Tell the Truth", he has cut a rough Texas blues diamond into shape for the debut, which has a tremendously high profile. Lance Lopez will be performing live in Germany in March when he shares the stages with his label colleagues Eric Gales, Quinn Sullivan and Gary Hoey in Hamburg, Berlin, Dortmund, Munich and Frankfurt during the Mascot Rockin' the Blues Festival.
