A Rose for Egeria (2014) is the third album of the Italian band MaterDea , characterized by a new musical expression and a more powerful sound, enriched by technical refinements although maintaining the flourished melodies which MaterDea ' s audience is already accustomed to. MaterDea was born out of the collaboration between Simon Papa and Marco Strega in 2008. Since the release of their first album they created band with a strong rock structure perfectly blending mystical and dreaming atmospheres. Here, the voices, the fiddle and the keyboards draw melodic lines upon the powerful rhythmic session. A Rose for Egeria [Deluxe Edition] features a special version of the hit song The Green Man , taken from the second album of the band Satyricon.
