Rocket From the Crypt were a San Diego based punk rock'n'roll band who made several albums between their formation in 1989 and their final show in 2005. This album was released around the middle of their career, in 1998. What lifted RTFC above their contemporaries was their infectious mixing of rebel punk attitude and energy with a sound that owed an equal amount to the Stooges and to mid-50s rock'n'roll, largely thanks to their horn section, consisting of Apollo 9 on saxophone and JC2000 on trumpet.
