The soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian, as cult as the film itself, was composed by Greek American Basil Poledouris (1945-2005), who also composed Lonesome Dove (Emmy Award for the Music Composition for a miniseries in 1989). The album also features the scores to Red Dawn, Farewell to the King and RoboCop, all by Basil Poledouris.
