4K UHD Blu-ray. TURANDOT is the last and unfinished work of Giacomo Puccini (1858 - 1924). At the centre of the action is a murderous guessing game: the Chinese princess Turandot poses three puzzles to all applicants who ask for her hand. Those who cannot solve these problems are shortened by one head. Many noble candidates have already tried - and just as many have not survived. Prince Kalaf has also fallen under the spell of Turandots and set himself the life-threatening task. But this time the cruel game takes a surprising turn and love triumphs. The TURANDOT production on this UHD Blu-ray was recorded in the amphitheatre of Torre del Lago. The leading roles are played by Rudy Park, Rebecca Lokar and Francesca Capelletti. The conductor of the orchestra is Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli.
