Vinyl incl. download code! Striking and captivating: The fifth album recorded with a new line-up shines with positive energy. Since the release of the album "Modem Operandi" in 2015, a lot has happened at the Stanfields, because with Calen Kinney on violin and Dillan Tate on bass, two new members have joined the Canadian group. As desired, the two of them were directly involved in the sound. In other words: Jon Landry (vocals, guitar, bouzouki, percussion), Jason Macisaac (guitar, backing vocals) and Mark Murphy (drums, percussion, backing vocals) were receptive to new influences. This openness and positive mood is audibly reflected in "Limboland", the fifth longplayer of the Stanfields. Its eleven songs carry exactly the energy that is clearly inspired by the origin in Nova Scotia and the Scottish-Irish roots of the band. For example,"Lantern In The Window" is characterized by strong images of the East Coast. And in "Total Black" Maggie MacDonald sings a touching duet with frontman and songwriter Jon Landry, while her sister Cassie literally fiddles with Calen. The MacDonalds have just won the "Traditional album of the year"award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Live, The Stanfields have already tested their new songs for suitability with great success: Limboland "was celebrated enthusiastically at the Black Top Fall Festival in August 2017!
