E ARE THE LEGION!" ... with this battle cry the starters of the modern metal scene assert themselves self-confidently as a new power in the metal ring! THE LEGION: GHOST from the Aachen / Cologne area have only been in existence since the beginning of 2015 and have made their name in the scene with wildly explosive live shows alongside greats like Misery Index, Hatesphere or The Charm, The Fury. But it's not only the daily growing crowd of dedicated fans who are loyal to their legion, with whom the quintet is causing a stir all over Germany. Because THE LEGION: GHOST is an overall concept: the emergence from a contemporary sound with the pressure of a rushing company, telling stories, visuals and the inseparable unity of band and fans. A homogeneous whole and Metal straight from the heart! Barely one and a half years after their successful album debut THE LEGION: GHOST prove it: The second studio album "WITH COURAGE OF DESPAIR" (V? 16.03.2018) represents a consequent further development of the first album "... TWO FOR ETERNITY" (September 30,2016). The focus is clearly on groove, melody, toughness and a lot of variety: Complex arrangements, powerful riffs powerfully grooving drums and bittersweet melodies characterize the 12 new tracks. With crazy blasts, staccato guitars and multi-layered vocal harmonies, the songs turn out to be more playful and dynamic - and yet they sound like THE LEGION: GHOST through and through. Clearly, the five Rhinelanders have found their sound! And so the typical interplay of melancholy and brutality can also be found in the lyrics, when Fronter Kevin Kearn's powerfully voiced voice condemns the capitalist meritocracy, angrily cries out his criticism of the media (in content) or sometimes strikes clear, softer tones on more personal topics such as love, jealousy and depression. Brutal, massive, heavy, intense and incredibly tight: that's what metal sounds like in the 21st century!
