The Blue Carpet Band formed as a 5 piece in North London in early 2014 taking their name from the colour of the flooring in the rehearsal space at T.Chances. Initially a blues/hard rock band, they quickly evolved over the last 2 years into what can be called a dirty rock’n’roll band with elements of garage rock, proto punk, 12 bar blues and a bit of psychobilly. They released a live five track EP in September 2016 and set about hitting the road to promote it. 2017 saw them playing a number of festivals including Deerstock and Undercover plus gigs with The Outcasts, GBH, Richie Ramone, UK Subs, 999 as well as playing the famous 100 Club as part of Resolution Festival, gathering a large and loyal following. Their debut album “Rock and Roll Carpet-Relaid” will be supported with a massive tour including 8 dates with the famed Mamapalooza Tour. Then, they are off to Europe including France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. This is going to be our main release for the year and we are going to push it, push it, push it: Djamel Abina, the 21 years old singer, will be a star, with or without that band or us. Let’s make sure it is with us.
