The contemporary British pianist James Heather released his debut album "Stories From Far Away On Piano" digitally in 2007 via Ahead Of Our Time - Coldcut's first label and playground for free expression and experimentation in the label family of Ninja Tune. After the great popularity of the international press and nearly 15 million plays on Spotify, the album is now released on vinyl. On the surface, these minimalist solo piano pieces are quite simple in beauty, although they simulate an even stronger intensity. The emotional atmosphere ranges from shocking and sad to optimistic and fascinating. The album brings together Heather's interpretations of current global political issues, which he learns about in the news as he composes.
