2084. A symbolic title for KAFVKA's latest work. "2084" - a reference to Orwell's book "1984", which became world-famous for its criticism of totalitarian systems. The suitable album title for a young Berlin formation, which in recent years has made a name for itself in Germany both as a live band and as a politically relevant band. Consequently, the second KAFVKA album, after the debut "H?nde hoch!", also includes (2016 ), besides the necessary portion of (self-) irony, serious topics and unmistakable statements. Jonas, Stephan, Philip and Oscar draw attention to causes and grievances in their 12 songs and criticize the consumer-oriented, egocentric society. Sometimes with a wink, sometimes with the relentless truth. Due to his direct lyrics singer Jonas manages to convey clear views without raised forefinger. KAFVKA's attitude becomes clear on their first single "Fick dein Volk", (already released at the beginning of September 2017 on the occasion of the Bundestag election, but unfortunately more topical than ever after the election), or also on the second single from the new album, "2018", which was released in close, friendly cooperation with Sea-Watch e.V.: "No matter what you do, you are part of this time - give up your kingdom!". Musically the guys stay true to their hard riffs and fat beats, but on "2084" they expand their repertoire with atmospheric, electronic sounds, and occasionally use pop elements. An upgrade that the band gets very well. Besides all the critical themes and the youthful joie de vivre of KAFVKA, the new album even leaves room for the Berlin band's first love song: "Egal was passiert" shows frontman Jonas and the band from an unusual side - personal, intimate and vulnerable. All these ingredients make the album multi-layered, varied and let us say in the chest tone of conviction: With this album KAFVKA will succeed in convincing their fans, who they could win especially live through their impulsive shows, now also on studio level!
