After his first two EPs, "McGovernment" (2011) and "The People's Music" (2013), Se?n McGowan became an "Artist to Watch" at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton in 2013. Tours with Sam Duckworth aka Get Cape followed. Wear Cape. Fly, The Rifles, Beans On Toast and Frank Turner. In early 2014, Sam Duckworth produced the young artist's first double-A single, to which Frank Turner also contributed the backing vocals. He then toured Europe with Sam Duckworth in England and Rob Lynch. With the EP "Look Lively" and the single "No Show" McGowan celebrated his breakthrough in 2016. The following year, he not only supported Billy Bragg on his tour of the United Kingdom, fulfilling McGowan's long-cherished dream of signing a contract with Xtra Mile Recordings. No wonder, the gang was already close together. Finally McGowan's debut album "Son Of The Smith" is released here. It features 13 live studio-recorded songs between alternative, folk and punk that fans of Frank Turner, Billy Bragg, Jamie T and Skinny Lister might like. Sam Duckworth and Jay Malhotra were involved in the recordings.
