The band Not Scientists emerged from the Uncommonmenfrommars and No Guts No Glory at the end of 2013. After an EP, a 7" and their debut album ,Destroy To Rebuild", their second Lomgplayer ,Golden Staples" will be released in April 2018 in a co-op between Kidnap Music and Rookie Records. The album was recorded by Santi Garcia at Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios. Not Scientists met Santi on their last tour of Spain and he invited her to his studio. The inspiring environment and Santi's great experience as a producer encouraged the band to work with new sounds and also to go other ways in songwriting. Their musical influences range from Buzzcocks to The Thermals, Hot Water Music and Superchunk. With "Golden Staples" the French have obviously emancipated themselves from the influence of American pop/college punk bands. Those who need a sorting aid call the sound Melodic Post-Punk, Powerpop or Indie.
