Since 1981, D?sseldorf's Panhandle Alks have been delighting their environment with heartfelt Rockabilly. The group was once formed by guests of the legendary Ratinger Hof or the remains of the punk band ZK, founded in 1978. After their dissolution Campino and Kuddel formed the Toten Hosen, Fabsi founded the Weser Label and Die Mimmi's and Ralf Axel "Isi" Isbert (vocals, guitar, bass) initiated the Panhandle Alks with Karl-Georg "Catling George" Benten (guitar). Ralf "Guitar Ray" Neitzel (guitar) and Thorsten "Rasberry Toni" K?ppler (drums) joined them. This was followed by various recordings, numerous changes in the line-up and several releases as well as the associated reunions. In 2011, Isi and his men last proved that the beer-loving "Alk-a-Billy is still alive". Since then there have been several plans to release a new album, but the production has been delayed again and again. The fact that "Dancing was still possible" could nevertheless be completed is ultimately thanks to Fabsi and his Weser label. He made sure that the songs about joie de vivre, celebrations, bullshit and the seriousness of life finally came into the box. Cheer up.
