Port Cities consist of Carleton Stone, who has already released three solo albums as singer/songwriter, Dylan Guthro, who has already worked with the hip hop hero Classified with his mix of folk and R&B, and the jazz-schooled chanteuse Breagh MacKinnon, whose solo work "Where The Days went" was nominated for an ECMA Award in 2012. Their debut album is the perfect balance between Nashville and Nova Scotia: between rustic and atmospheric, between indie intimacy and the kind of hymnic stadium pop with which Port Cities reveal their global ambitions. It is a record based on the collective experience in songwriting and offers a considerable range from country rock songs to afro-pop grooves to disco-kissed break-up songs and ambient ballads.
