The title of the new album is a clear indicator of what the Berlin-based producer has done in recent years, both on a conceptual level and how he translates his ideas into tracks. "Applied Autonomy" orchestrates a certain state of hectic standstill that occurs after setting a structure. Once this state has been reached, the artist is free to concentrate on other equally important aspects, to reconcile the different shades and to further advance the ideas in order to let them shine and flourish in their self-declared autonomy. Much of the material used to produce the album comes from sketches made especially for a club performance. Instead of meticulously designing every detail, Lippok concentrated instead on recording as many fragments as possible in a short time, which he could later combine and place on stage.
