Bruno Pronsato has successfully undermined expectations in the techno and house scene for quite some time. In his former life he was the drummer of a speed metal band with a serious passion for twelve-tone music. In 2005 he moved to Berlin and captured the attention of the electronic music world with his LP Why Can't We Be Like Us. Pronsato is now back in the spotlight with his new album. In collaboration with Yonatan Levi he wrote and produced A Face Wasted On Theatre. This connection is already well established: the two have been working together again and again since 2014. The new album was produced in two different studios in Prenzlauer Berg, the adopted home of the Texan Steven Ford, as Pronsato is bourgeoisly called - mostly in the afternoon and not at night. On six of the eight songs Levi alias L.A.Teen can be heard again on bass, further guests are the composer and producer Peter Gordon and the Israeli saxophonist Yonatan Yudkowitz. Levi also comes from Tel Aviv and is a classically trained guitarist and bassist. He once went to the USA and made a name for himself in the New York jazz scene.
