The country and Americana musician from Austin/Texas, Jessed Dayton, releases a new studio album'The Outsider'. Jesse Dayton released his first solo album in 1995 and is also known for his guitar features for albums of country greats like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Jesse Dayton has been touring non-stop in the USA and Europe for four years. His new album "The Outsider" was recorded during the tour in Atlanta, Denver, Nashville and Austin in several studios and mixed by Grammy winner producer Vance Powell (who has worked with Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and Jack White). About "The Outsider" Dayton says: "It's very similar to my previous album'The Revealer', but even more with some nice acoustic guitar songs, and also some raw electric guitar tracks". All influences are there - the George Jones inspired vocals on "Changin' My Ways", the outlaw country vibe of Waylon and Jerry Reed on "Belly of the Beast", the anger and energy of The Clash and X on Hillbilly protest song "Charlottesville" and the Deep East Texas Blues and Cajun Rockabilly on "May Have To Do It" and "Hurtin Behind The Pine Curtain". "Dayton could be considered the musical father of chart success artists like Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson....Jesse Dayton is now one of America's most important artists." NO DEPRESSION
