Founded in 2002, RIBSPREADER is the brainchild of Rogga Johansson, mastermind of PAGANIZER and THE GROTESQUERY. Paganizer band colleague Andreas Carlsson was on board when the band was founded, while for the drums and lead guitars nobody less than the musical exception Genie Dan Swan? (EGDE?OFSAINTY) could be engaged. The debut album "Bolted to the Cross" ('04 - New Aeon Media) was celebrated as a killer debut followed by an equally hyped second album "Congregating the Sick" ('05 - Karmageddon Media). Over the years the band developed their own style of dirty Old School Death Metal and crowned their previous work after some EPs and their third album "Opus Ribcage MMVI" ('09 - Vic Rec.) with the milestone "The Van Murders" ('11 - Vic Rec.), which was a concept album and introduced the characters The Cleaner and Mr Filth for the first time. In 2014 followed their fifth album "Meathymns", followed by their sixth and most successful album "Suicide Gate - A Bridge to Death" via Xtreem Music in 2016. With album number seven "The Van Murders - Part 2" is just around the corner, which brings a reunion with the dirty duo The Cleaner and Mr Filth and musically guarantees the full Swedish Old School Death Metal broadside one more time!
