Augustin is completely dedicated to contemporary folk music. The quartet around songwriter Michael Regner got to know each other while studying music together at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Since then they have been making music together. In 2012 they released their debut album "Maybe I'll follow you there", an emotional, calm album, which - mostly looking inward - traces feelings, memories and longings. The second album "A New Definition of Home" followed in 2016. The music became more extroverted, dynamic and harmonically more varied. A hint of Irish folk and bluegrass mixed with the reduced approach of days gone by to form the new Augustin sound. Numerous live concerts followed, both on cabaret stages and bars and at open airs and festivals in Bavaria and Austria. In 2017 the band recorded five songs for Hans Weingartner's feature film "303", for which Michael Regner also composed the dramatic film music. The film will be released in German cinemas on July 19. On July 20 Augustin will release their new album "Colors" on Motor Entertainment, which includes the film songs as well as 7 further new compositions.
