Baretta Love - s/t Bartetta Love play a truly explosive mixture of punk and indie with a great passion for blues & soul. The core of the band is the friendship between guitarist Fabian and bassist Philipp, who have been making music together for 15 years. Their debut album "Minimal Play", released on "Wanda-Records" in 2012, was recorded by them on their own. Seven years ago, they finally found the missing piece of the puzzle with Chris Barbieux and merge into a permanent unit on the new self-titled album. Like the previous album "Minimal Play" the current record was recorded live in the completely analogue Kozmik Sound Studio in the venerable halls of the former GDR broadcasting centre in Berlin. Mischkah Wilke, who produced the debut album of the band Gurr, again worked as sound engineer and co-producer. The band presents themselves with the 10 songs much more varied than on their debut, the overall three-year process of creation has definitely left its mark. When blues and soul elements sound on "Freezing Loneliness", the opener "My Head Is Bloody But Unbowed" presents itself as a complex rock song that literally rolls over the listener with the onset of the band. In songs like "Outstanding Call" and "Here We Are" you lean back in tempo and completely break all typical genre boundaries
