Only ten months after the release of their -music is war- - EP Funker Vogt proudly return with a new album. -Wastelands-, so the title of the album, might hit the scene like a grenade. Difficult to top - the previous album - Code of Conduct- was, so the general tenor, but with -Wastelands- the band shows that they easily manage to even exceed these high expectations in almost all respects. All of Funker Vogt's strengths are exhausted to their absolute peak. From catchy hymns like Ikarus-, -Wasteland- or -Desperado- to brutal ramming attacks like -Let s go to War- and -Bring the Fight- to club hits like -Feel the Pain- and -Thor s Hammer- everything is included, which will not only make Funker hearts beat faster, but should also set powerful impulses in the scene again. Even with slightly softer sounds (-under the radar-) you can easily surprise the listener without losing the thread or neglecting the typical radio operator sound. The unimagined diversity of Chris L's vocal performances adds the finishing touch to the broad sound spectrum of this production.
