NILE,WILLIE - Children Of Paradise (Sealed) (LP)

New York rock'n'roll singer/songwriter Willie Nile has been an established Americana singer/songwriter for over three decades. In 1980 he released his debut album "Children Of Paradise". After things had become a little quieter around Nile in the noughties, his art was again highly appreciated. "American Ride" led several annual best lists in 2013 and was voted Rock Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards. In 2015 Bruce Springsteen joined Nile on stage at a show in New Jersey, and a few months later Nile honoured Pete Townshend with the "Boss" and The Who on Times Square. In 2017 Nile released a Dylan cover album with "Positively Bob", while "Children Of Paradise" contains only original compositions. They were created in response to the "blues that's all around us in 2018," as the 1948-born artist explained. The record was co-produced by Nile and his long-time collaborator and Grammy winner Stewart Lerman (Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Norah Jones). In the studio, Niles played in a proven live band. Exclusive guest appearances were celebrated by Stuart Smith (Eagles, Rosanne Cash, Rodney Crowell) on guitar and Andy Burton (John Mayer, Rufus Wainwright, Ian Hunter) on keys.
