Out of print in the U.S. Blow Up is the fourth studio album by the Smithereens. It is a record, loaded with the drive and special avant-garde sixties flavor that makes The Smithereens so special. The record begins with the sharp heavy hitter 'Top Of The Pops' followed by the album's first single, the string-laden Philly soul song 'Too Much Passion'. There's a guest appearance by Carlene Carter on 'Get A Hold Of My Heart' and Los Lobos saxophone player Steve Berlin contributed on 'Indigo Blues'. The album finishes with the string stroked 'If You Want The Sun To Shine', a 6:00 minute epic song co-written by Julian Lennon.
