With "Refugium" Joachim Witt brings together songs from 4 decades of his career, which he performed live for the first time with a large orchestra on 07.10.2018 in the Leipzig Gewandhaus. Starting with the NDW days with his super-hit "Goldener Reiter", over the cult revered "Wieder bin ich nicht geflogen" from 1983, some songs from the "Bayreuth" series like "Das geht tief", "jetzt und ehedem" as well as the big hit "Die Flut" with Peter Heppner. Peter Heppner is also a guest here and also sings the 2018 duet "Was bleibt?". Also Joachim Witt's recent successes like the provocative "Gloria" or titles from the last album "R?bezahl" complete the musical journey through time. All songs now shine in a new, orchestral and powerful splendour. The album was recorded and produced by Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost). The album will be released on Joachim Witt's 70th birthday on 22.02.2019. From April to June 2019 Joachim Witt will then go with orchestra on the 10-cities "Refugium" classical tour through concert houses.
