Karl Hector & The Malcouns, formerly Poets of Rhythm and together with brother Max Weissenfeldt the duo Whitefield Brothers. In the meantime 10 years have passed since the ingenious debut album "Sahara Swing" was released on the then Stones Throw sister label Now-Again 2008. The third album now goes deeper back to German Krautrock history. Three of the most influential bands of the experimental German rock scene of the 1970s come from the home town of Jan Weissenfeld aka JJ Whitefield: Amon D??l, Popol Vuh and Embryo. Influenced by these musical heroes, Karl Hector creates a sound that takes the experimental approach of the classical Krautrock era and glides between beat-heavy drones and spacious prog rock suites. Marja Burchard, daughter of embryo mastermind Christian Burchard, is part of the band with keyboard, vibraphone and vocals. Al Markovic and Malcoun Zdenko Curilija complete the ensemble. *Now again
