The Brooklyn artist Trixie Whitley worked with Daniel Lanois (Black Dub), Robert Plant, Marianne Faithful, Joe Henry and Marc Ribot (Nouvelle Vague) before she started her solo career in 2013 with the album "Fourth Corner". Now she presents her third longplayer "Lacuna", recorded with Run The Jewels producer Little Shalimar and sound engineer Pat Dilett (David Byrne, Lou Reed, Mary J. Blidge). The result is a fascinating mixture of hi-fi electro sounds, hypnotic rhythms and Trixe's unmistakable voice to direct lyrics, which put blows in the pit of the stomach.
