The Canadian guitarist & singer Duke Robillard is one of the great legends of the North American blues scene. The 71-year-old musician has been active since 1967 and has inspired a host of musicians. As the bandleader of Roomful of Blues, he inspired the fans with his mixture of Blues, Swing and R&B. The band has been touring the world non-stop for over 4 years and has released more than 25 albums. After 12 years Duke left this band and made his debut in 1981 with his Duke Robbilard Band. At the same time he continued his career as a sideman and replaced Jimmie Vaughan in 1991 with the Fabulous Thunderbirds. He toured 26 times with Tom Waits and recorded with Bob Dylan, Ruth Brown, Jay McShann, Pinetop Perkins, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Rosco Gordon, Maria Muldaur and many others. The new album Ear Worms of the Duke Robillard Band will be released on April 5th and features a typical mixture of Blues, R&B and Swing.
