Radio and TV presenter, inventor of legendary television formats such as "Sendung ohne Namen" and "Willkommen ?sterreich", director, screenwriter, dubbing artist and visual artist - and now also musician? That's not quite correct now, because Munich-born Fred Schreiber was a singer and songwriter long before his successes. Two indie rock longplayers with the Falschen Freunde and a solo album gave him regular airplay on all German-language radio stations. In the case of the Fm4 hit "Dort" - a collaboration with the Italian producer Nicola Conte - even worldwide. Now he has made a dream come true and thought big. Because for the upcoming album "More Than Swing" he has picked up a dozen jazz musicians from all over the world to realize what had been buzzing around in his head for years: to dress up his all-time favourite indie rock hits and put them into the suits of swing, big band, latin and jazz. Stefan Thaler, a genius on bass and arrangement, was the one who helped with the move.
