The Michael Oertel Band is a folk band rooted in the blues, opening their hearts and ears for this album and the upcoming tour. The songs appearing on their new album "A Little Faith" are a mixture of earthy folk, honest blues and soulful ballads with rock'n'roll attitude without compromise in a sound garb reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. The album, recorded almost entirely in analogue and live, promises a colourful change from too much contemporary music. The band around songwriter, singer and guitarist Michael Oertel was already nominated in their last years as support act for Henrik Freischlader, Robert Randolph and for the finale of the German Blues Challenge in Eutin. Parts of the band travel to Great Britain with the English folk and blues singer Matt Woosey, who has already been nominated several times for the "British Blues Award". With their diverse, earthy and handmade music the band inspires again and again a wide audience ... Back to the roots!
