3CD COLLECTION OF AEROSMITH S FINEST AVAILABLE BROADCAST RECORDINGS Formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970, Aerosmith is the most commercially successful heavy rock group of all time, having sold over 150 million albums worldwide, half of them in the US. Having existed in one form or another now for nigh on fifty years, this 3CD live collection celebrates the longevity, talent and balls-to-the-wall attitude of the band, who are finally planning a farewell tour, although this is rumoured to take place over a number of years. Featuring, on DISC ONE, the band s FM Broadcast recording of their 1980 hometown gig, at the Boston Club on 3rd December that year, the set continues on DISC TWO with a gig from 1988 recorded at The Hampton Civic Centre in Hampton, Virginia, performed hot-on-the-heels of their Permanent Vacation album, released that same August. This fine collection concludes on DISC THREE, which includes Aerosmith s magnificent set recorded for MTV s Unplugged series, recorded at New York s Ed Sullivan Theatre on 11th August 1990.
